Located in Jacinto City to the east of Houston, TX. This multiplex was opened by the Texas based Cineplex Cinemas chain on December 12, 1980. It was later taken over by Cinemark. It was closed in 1999.

Theater building—part of a larger strip center—still stands as of 2023. The space was redeveloped for retail use sometime in the 2000’s, and is still operating as retailer as of 2023.

Opened in 1980 by someone else and closed in 1999 by Cinemark.

I think this theater is actually in Jacinto City. Was opened by Cineplex theaters of Texas.

Which is the reason that Cineplex Odeon of Canada kept the Plitt name until late 1987. A Canadian trade journal reported that Cineplex was planning a location at Sharpstown, but never open.
