On April 17, 1948, Boxoffice wrote that after construction running “almost since the end of the war,” William Voise had opened a theater in tiny Odessa. “The house has spring-filled, upholstered chairs, rest rooms, a nursery and all the appointments of a big-city showcase.”
The 1950 Film Daily Year Book included the Lyric Theatre in Odessa, seating 180. It was still open in 1957.
