Film Daily, September 5, 1947: “Marlin, Tex. — A survivor of the Bataan death march, Sam Palasota has opened the Martex Theater here. House has a seating capacity of 300”.
Boxoffice, Oct. 30, 1948: “MARLIN, TEX. — Fred Bielamowriez of Bremond has purchased the Martex Theatre here from Sam Palasota and is now operating the house which was built for Negro patronage”."
