The Raven Theatre was opened by 1926. It was listed as (Closed) in 1932-1933 editions of Film Daily Yearbook and disappeared from listings until 1938 when it had reopened. It was still open in 1957. Small town theatre that has seen better days. Part of the property is an ice cream parlor.

Google Streetview from 2008 shows building in very poor condition. By 2018 it had been rehabbed and an ice cream parlor installed.
The Virginia Tobacco Commission provided the funding for the rehabilitation. Its name is the Raven Theater and Coal Museum. Don’t seem to be any films showing but the community uses it for meetings and live performances. Nothing posted on the Facebook page since 2019.
