The Vox was opened in 1935 with Gary Cooper in “Les tois lanciers du Bengale” (The Lives of a Bengal Lancer). Seating was provided in orchestra & balcony levels. In the 1970’s it was known for screening many Walt Disney films. It ended its days from the mid=-1980’s as an adult cinema, closing on 31st March 1992.
It was purchased in 1994 by the City of Mulhouse for redevelopment. Later demolished for housing.
