The Regent Theatre was built as part of a new shopping centre at the rear of the site of the old Regent Theatre (which has its own page on Cinema Treasures). The new Regent Theatre was a 327-seat single screen cinema which opened on 10th May 1984 with Dudley Moore in “Unfaithfully Yours”. It was designed by architects Warren & Mahoney.
In 1996 it was converted into a triple screen cinema named Regent 3, to the plans of architect Dennis Mainz, with seating provided for 215, 100 & 80.
In recent years it has been re-named Focal Point Cinema & Café Levin.
