Bijou Theatre

This theatre appears on the 1909 Sanborn, located in the eastern storefront of the Davenport Block, a very large four story brick building that had been constructed in 1906-7, replacing a residence.

Despite likely being a purpose built space, and being fairly roomy, this was not a success, and the 1914 map shows a clothing store in this space.

The building was destroyed by a fire in 1972, and the site today is a parking lot.
