From what I’ve managed to find Kenmore, this location was literally carved out of farm land. It apparently had space for around 150-200 cars in a town of only 800 people. It’s also listed as being in “East Calais” in some old directories, the oldest aerial in from 1976 for that area so it might’ve been bulldozed and returned to farming which is why its extremely hard to find.
Old topo maps show that what was Route 12 runs through East/North Montpelier.
Having said that, a 1966 aerial reveals nothing resembling a drive-in anywhere near that location. Nor does anything look like anything was recently built. Which should be the case for a drive-in that was closed the year before.
More information will be needed or better eyes than mine to spot the location of the drive-in.
