Located in Ynishir, to the north of Porth, Glamorgan. The 800-seat Workmen’s Hall was operating as a cinema by 1914 when it was operated by the Poole’s Theatres Ltd. chain. From the 1920’s it was independently operated. The proscenium was 27ft wide and there was a stage and two dressing rooms. By 1937 it had been equipped with a British Talking Pictures(BTP) sound system. It was still open in 1954 when the seating capacity had been reduced to 567 and it had a GB-Kalee sound system. It had closed by 1958.
