The Novelty Theatre was listed in American Motion Picture Directory 1914-15 as located on Main Street between Solano Street and California Street. Its movie listing appeared in the San Francisco Call beginning in 1914.

The Novelty Theatre was still listed in September 1922 in the Napa Valley Register during Paramount Week.

The theatre, unnamed, was on Sanborn Maps 1920 but had closed by 1926 and the building had gone on 1945 maps. It was located across California Street from the IOOF Hall, which still has IOOF on the building. It would be where Port Of Call Grocery is located today.
