Happened to be walking in downtown Venice and above several retail stores observed a faded outline for “Venice Cinemas”. The local movie house opened as the twin-screen Venice 2 Theatres on June 28, 1972 with Charlton Heston in “Skyjacked” & Bobby Driscoll in Walt Disney’s “Song of the South”. Screen 1 had 350-seats and screen 2 had 250-seats. It was operated by Floyd Enterprises. It was closed in 1990.
