Previous Names: Decsi Filmtheater
The Decsi Filmtheater was opened on 10th January 1910 and was operated by Gyula Decsi. In 1950 it was re-named Muvesz Kino. In recent years it has been divided into 5-screens, the largest secreen has 172-seats and the smallest screen has 42-seats. It remains open as one of Budapest’s art-house cinemas and since 2004 has been a member of the Europa Group of art house cinemas. Films are screened in their original language, with Hungarian sub-titles.
