In Wishaw, North Lanarkshire, the Picture House opened on 1st March 1913.
The frontage was extended in the 1920’s, and an RCA sound system was installed when the talkies arrived.
A new, modern, frontage was added in 1938, the architects being Corrie & Millar.
It is not known when the Picture House closed, although the building was sold in 1959, and the Picture House made its final appearance in the Kinematograph Year Books in 1961.
The building was duly demolished. An Iceland food store fronts on to Main Street, with a car park behind.
