Located at the corner of Dowry Street and Moore Street in Accrington, Lancashire. The Dowry Picture Palace was opened in a converted building on 28th February 1910. It was a ‘reverse’ cinema, with the screen at the rear of the entrance. It was operated by James Suttcliffe & Co. and closed in 1916, being converted into a workshop/industrial use.
