The 1910 Sanborn shows a single story wooden building with tin siding offering ‘Moving Pictures’. This location was an empty lot in 1902, and this was likely a hasty construction to take advantage of the early movie craze.

Regardless of how successful this may have been, by around 1915 this building and its neighbor to the east had been replaced by a fine new building of the Brazil Trust Co., which remains today.

Note that while the theater was operating, the street was called Main St. It appears to have changed names around 1920, probably with the coming of the National Pike (US 40).
