The Ideal Theatre was a silent-era movie theatre that operated in downtown Morrill from 1915 to 1930. The theatre was revamped in 1922 by A. R. Seward. In 1929, the Ideal Theatre experimented with sound films but then returned to silent films.

In 1930, former Ideal Theatre owner George Luce who announced that he would convert the existing skating rink in downtown Morrill’s Stearns Building to a movie house which would become the Delmar Theatre. The Ideal Theatre closed April 19, 1930 with Flash the Dog & Lawrence Gray in in “Shadows of the Night” and supported by Laurel and Hardy in “Habeus Corpus”. That same day, the Delmar Theatre had its Grand Opening.

An announcement was made in December of 1930 that the Ideal Theatre would be revamped for sound films but later was converted to a grocery store.
