The Bonnet Drive-In in Loudon was open by March 1956, when Motion Picture Exhibitor reported that Bernie Swiney was its manager. The Motion Picture Herald also used that spelling for the drive-in later that year.
After three years of listing the “Bennett” Drive-In, the 1960 Motion Picture Almanac included the Valley Drive-In as one of Loudon’s two drive-ins, along with the Cole Drive-In. The Valley Drive-In was owned by Roy Cline, capacity 250 cars.
On April 18, 1950, Boxoffice reported: “The Valley Drive-In, Loudon, Tenn., operated by Mose Waller … was destroyed by fire in April 1960”.
