Located in Dunford Bridge, to the west of Pennistone, South Yorkshire and to the north west of Sheffield. The Dunford Bridge camp was set up by British Railways in 1948 for construction workers employed on the construction of the Woodhead tunnel. 1,100 workers were housed there. The Cinema House was a wood construction. It opened in 1949 and closed in 1954. British Railways employed G.D.Turner to operate the cinema, which was equipped to screen 16mm films. It operated weekdays from 5pm and Sundays from 5:30pm.
