The August 22, 1953 issue of Boxoffice noted, “The Pines Drive-In, owned by Bert Girouard and Sonny Pines at Bathhurst (sic), N.B., was opened August 12.”
The 1955 Motion Picture and Television Almanac listed the Pines with a capacity of 225 cars, owner B. Girouard.

During the early-1970s, the Pines Drive-In was renamed the Bay View Drive-In after the F.G. Spencer company took it over. It appears that it was still operating in the mid-1980s.
