The October 24, 1953 issue of Boxoffice reported, “Isadore Reinhorn has opened his 800-seat Nortown in Regina, SK”. It had opened on September 15, 1953.
A much later article in Regina’s Leader-Post recalled, “The last movie house to open in the city was the Nortown Theatre in 1953, but it felt the influence of television and was closed in 1961 and turned into bowling lanes”.
