East Towne Cinemas

Located in the East Towne Center at the intersection of Maddox Drive and State Highway 5 / 515. Two small shoe box theaters with the box office opening onto the sidewalk of a strip shopping center. The marquee states “End Credits 8/7/18.”

If that is the closing date that means that this twin lasted over 30 years and survived the conversion to digital projection only to be put out of business when Georgia Theater Company opened the 7 screen Mountain Cinemas just down the road. According to its CT page that theater opened in June 2018.
