The Coliseum Cinema was built as a single screen cinema by Maitree Kitiparaporn owner of the Hollywood circuit. They also run Thailand’s only operating single screen cinema, the Lido Cinema, and operated the now closed Siam Cinema & Scala Cinema. Later Panin, the daughter of Maitree Kitiparaporn, took over the operation and re-named the chain Pyramid. It was later still re-named Apex Group.
The Coliseum Cinema was later demolished.
