Located in the Carr Vale district of Bolsover, Derbyshire. The Central Hall was screening films by April 1909 when it was operated by John R. Dakin. By 1914 he had changed the name to Bolsover Picture Palace. By 1927 he had reverted the named back to Central Hall. Later known as the Central Hall Picture Theatre, it staying under the ownership of the Dakin family. In 1958 the Central Cinema had been equipped with CinemaScope and had a 26ft wide proscenium. The seating capacity had been slightly reduced to 399-seats. It was still open in 1966, but had closed by 1969.

The building was still standing in 1994 when it was used as as a car repair workshop.

By 2011, an apartment block had been built on the site, probably #67a.
