Opened around 1960 as an Off-Broadway live theatre. It opened as an adult movie theatre on November 8, 1968 was owned by Seymore Domore and New Era Cinema. Listngs ended in 1972.

The Masque was constructed around 1960, along with the Maidman and Mermaid Theatres by developer Irving Maidman as off Broadway Theatres on 42nd Street west of Eight Avenue. Apparently they didn’t make it through the decade in that capacity.

on the photo page are ads for 2 films with “all male casts”. Trade and Mary’s Trade. the ads are from 1969. I’m assuming these were exploitation flicks rather than actual porn which
I don’t think existed in 1969.
