The Dutton Theatre was a replacement for a previous Main Street Dutton Theatre. The “new” Dutton Theatre launched January 8, 1950. But the town was indifferent to the new theatre and it went out of business. By 1961, the venue housed a liquor store and in 1971 it was home to a laundry.
