Poli’s Theatre was opened as a vaudeville theatre on December 25, 1907. By 1926 it was listed with 1,640-seats and was operating as a movie theatre. It’s not to be confused with the larger Loew-Poli Theatre on W. Main Street (which has its own page on Cinema Treasures). The Poli Theatre was listed in the 1941 edition of Film Daily Yearbook as (Closed). By 1943 it had been taken over by Loew’s Inc. It was still open in 1952, but had closed by 1955.

Lowe’s Poli opened with vaudeville on December 25, 1907 but the star of the show was a giant electric sign that flashed the name of the theatre on the building’s exterior that illuminated Main Street.
