The Liberty Theatre was opened around June 1922. It occasionally staged minstrel shows and magic shows as well as presenting movies. It was equipped for sound in 1930. It was briefly closed in 1932, possibly due to the Depression. In 1939 it was taken over by the K. Lee Williams Theatres Inc. circuit.
The Liberty Theatre was still open in 1957. In 2016 a building on the site is occupied by Woods and Woods Accounting.
