Located in Caterham, Surrey, now the southernmost part of today’s Greater London. The Electric Cinema was adjacent to the still existing Blacksmith’s Arms pub. It was opened in 1909 by a Mr. Freeman and was a conversion of a former coach builders premises. The silent films were accompanied by a horn gramophone. It is not known how long the Electric Cinema lasted, but it was still open in January 1925.
It has since been demolished and in 2020 a building housing EES Facilities (an electrical maintenance company) now operates on the site.
