The October 15, 1925 issue of the University of Denver’s Clarion wrote about “the new Mena Theatre, South Denver’s popular new playhouse. The theatre is one of the most attractive in Denver. The curtain is of lavender and gold and is one of the most expensive in the city; the side lights are in three colors. There is a small balcony and smoking room while the entire inside of the house reminds one of a castle. The Mena Theatre is managed by Mr. Menagh and his son, (Elden Menagh) formerly of the Park theatre, Greeley, Colo. … The Mena Theatre this week presents three big pictures—Strongheart in “White Fang”, by Jack London; Zane Grey’s story, “The Thundering Herd", and Thomas Meighan in Curwood’s story, “The Alaskan". The Mena Theatre is right on the D.U. car-line and is located at Alameda Street and Pearl Street.
The 1929 Film Daily Year Book included the Majestic Theatre at the address of Alameda Street & Pearl Street with a capacity of 466 seats.
