Diminutive Halsey, Nebraska, had a movie theatre that in the early sound era was called the Halsey Sound Theatre. The theatre became the Halsey Theatre and got a streamline makeover with new seating in 1937 by owner George Campau.
New operator Lester Harris took on the venue and operated it with the Dunning Theatre and a theatre in Brewster. The Halsey Theatre was used for events into the 1950’s but may have discontinued regular film screenings in 1947.
