The Pastime Theatre opened as early as April 1912, and was a main theatre for sporting events, vaudeville and stage shows for the city of Lakin. It was closed in the spring of 1917, when movies were a hot-spot at the Electric Theatre blocks away from the former Pastime Theatre.
