The Henry Theatre was established after World War II by E.E. Gywnn for African-American audiences. It was a new-build facility seating 365 patrons launching in 1946. It appears to have gone out of business at the end of 1948 when the operator decided to get into drive-in theatre operations. The theatre could be purchased fully-equipped for $14,500.
