- Jul 7, 2010 — Skyview Drive-in in Belleville adding third screen
The BAC Cinema opened as a single screen theatre on September 2, 1966 with Elizabeth Taylor in “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf”. It was adjacent to the BAC’s Skyview Drive-In. The theater could seat about 800 and was equipped to screen Cinerama, Todd-AO and 70mm films on its 75ft wide screen.
During the mid-1980’s, three more screens were added to the building, and the theatre became known as the Quad Cinema. In 1990, Kerasotes Theatres began to lease the four-plex, and ran it until it was closed in 2000.

It would be nice if they could tear down that godawful strip mall on the other side of the Skyview. Not only is the strip mall completely devoid of any cultural or architectural merit, the lights from it are very distracting to moviegoers.
Should be listed as demolished.
So many memories of movies at the BAC Quad. Among the highlights: Titanic, The Beverly Hillbillies, Look Who’s Talking Too, Pocahontas…and I was even once forced to see one of the My Little Pony movies because my big sister dragged me along ;)
It had the best popcorn in all of Belleville, too!
