Located in Backnang to the northeast of Stuttgart. The Lichtspielehause Backnang was opened in 1917. and was operated by the Banerle family. Around 1930 the building was replaced and the cinema was re-named Neues Filmtheater. In 1978 it was taken over by Uwe Hohnhe. In 1985 it was taken over by Heinz Lochmann and a second screen was installed. In 2010 two more screens were added.
In November 2012 it was re-named Traumpalast. The auditoriums are named:Blue Star, Blue Sky, Blue Diamond, Blue Motion and Blue Velvet.
