Located in the north of the city center. The Roxy Filmtheater was opened in 1932 and was operated by Mrs. Zwettels. In 1943 it was demolished by an Allied bomb during World War II.
In 1950 the cinema was rebuilt and operated by Herbert Schleicher. The projectors were by Frieske & Hoepfner. Since 1979 it has screened art house movies. It was closed in 2010.
It was reopened as the Roxy Kino in 2011 and is operated by Roxy Kino OHG.
There was a second Roxy Theatre with 254-seats which was located in the Solde district at Solderstrasse 116.
