The Woods Theatre was opened by 1948. It was still open in 1952, but had closed by 1955. It must have reopened as a photograph shows it screening “Atlantis:The Lost Continent” starring Joyce Taylor which was released on May 3, 1961.

Opened as early as 1948.
Harvey Frederick opened the Woods Theater on July 25, 1948. The venue opened with 485 seats and projectionist Donald McKenzie in the booth. The equipment was installed by Gallagher Films of Green Bay. The Woods operated seasonally for summer tourists and year-round for some periods.
Its apparent final week showed a theater scuffling. February 2, 1974 it featured “Enter the Dragon.” February 3d and 4th, it featured the double feature of X-rated titles, “Teenage Mother” and “Teenage Sex Report.” Feb. 5th, it featured a four-wall presentation of “Call of the Wild.” There were no further listings likely ending its run eclectically.
I think the reason why the Woods Theatre closed in February 1974 is because of the opening of the nearby Lakeland Cinema, which opened as a single-screener that same month. I can’t tell if the projection and stuff were moved to the newer building after the old Woods closed down.
What’s really strange is that the way they advertised the then-new Lakeland. The Lakeland Cinema nearby launched with Walt Disney’s “That Darn Cat” on February 13, 1974 without a single mention of an opening article or a grand opening advertisement, not even a single “congratulations from a local merchant” or a heartwarming message from its management. Just a plain showtime listing that mentions a line reading “formerly the Woods Theatre”, but the Lakeland Cinema is a separate movie theater located a few buildings away from the Woods.
Closed in February 1974.
