Inside the Family

This small, early Quincy movie house opened in 1913 on Broadway and survived into the mid-1950’s. It has long since been demolished.

The Family was unusual in that it’s entrance was at the side of the screen with the screen being at the street side of the building.

A movie called The Country Circus played there on November 5, 1915 (having just played at the Princess, also in Quincy, on October 28). The Country Circus was written by L. Frank Baum (The Wizard of Oz).
