Since LIU owns the location, I guess it is Barclays that pulled out.
Pulled out of using the spot. Who owns it and what if anything are the plans for its future use ?

Just a update. So far, construction has NOT started.
The new date to start construction is November 1st. If they start then the construction supervisor states that they should be done around August 2019. Meanwhile, my crew and I will keep the organ in shape for the opening.

Great news and photos….One question that I don’t understand is how the Paramount & a restored Uptown in Chicago plan to remove the main floor seats for some shows for standing room and putting them back for others. These must be a new light weight chair that can be moved easily. Plus the storage room. I wonder how long it will take to remove them & store them and put them back?

Last Thursday they had the ground-breaking ceremony. The huge scoreboard was lowered. I performed several selections on the Wurlitzer for the those in attendance. All contractors involved will make sure that no harm will come to the organ during the conversion.
The $50 million renovation will start soon, according to an article in yesterday’s Daily News. Read here
Nothing going on yet. From time to time I run into the people involved but the start date keeps rolling back.

The New York Theatre Society is planning an organ concert at the former Brooklyn Paramount on Sunday, October 8th at 3 PM. This will be the last time the organ can be heard until after the renovation which is scheduled to start very soon. I’ll put up more details as they come in.

Type in 359 Flatbush Avenue Extension, that will land you at the corner of Flatbush Extension and Dekalb Avenue, which is the proper location, the building with the LIU banners.
Google Earth is not always accurate, entering street view using the 385 address, I landed in front of 2 Brothers Pizza, with a 7-11 and Applebee's just to the west of it. A little searching gave all three the address of 395 Flatbush Avenue extension.
If you look a block east from 395, you can see the building with the CVS sign which replaced the Fox Theatre.

Is that address correct? I don’t see a theatre there using google street view
It was bland because of the color is is now painted. The original color scheme would obviously have been anything but bland . Rapp and Rapp did really knockout lobbies .While this was not a knockout it was still quite good
