Grand Theatre

Located in the imposing Knights of Pythias Building, designed by African-American architect John C. Norman Sr. The Grand Theatre was opened in 1922 and closed around 1927. It was converted into a hospital, which closed in the early-1980’s. The building stands vacant in September 2019 and is still vacant in 2026.

Renovated for retail, but still empty.

In the 2023 Street View images, it looks like the Theater façade to a more traditional storefront, though it still looks vacant.
