Located in Widnes, Cheshire. Built in 1905 for the Runcorn & Widnes Industrial Co-Operative Society. Originally operating as the Co-Operative Hall, by February 1917 war newsreel films were being screened. By 1925 the Co-Operative Hall was presenting Co-operative Varieties. By 1934 it was operated by the Cheshire County Cinemas chain as a cinema. By 1937 they had re-named it Co-operative Cinema De Luxe. The proscenium was 24ft wide and it was equipped with a Western Electric(WE) sound system. It had closed by 1944. The building still stands in 2020 as the Victoria Hall.

By 19th February 1910 Hamilton and Hughes said they had carried on a “variety entertainment and cinematograph show” at the Co-op hall in Widnes “for the last twelve months”, and wanted to renew their licence which had first been granted in 1906. Robert Hamilton said he had 12 years’ experience “of some of the best music halls in the country”, but the Co-op Hall would not be “a music hall performance”.
The licence was granted on the condition the gallery was closed.
Hamilton and Hughes created Cheshire County Cinemas in 1922.
