Located in the city centre. The street has had several names over the years: Grabenstrasse 18-20, Schlageterstrasse 18-20, Ebert Strasse 18. The Palast Theater was opened in 1917 and was operated by Willy Knoop. In 1921 Wilhelm Schmidt who was based in Gelsenkirchen took over. In 1927 it was operated by Gather and in 1928 Inderschmitten & Hackebien took over.

It was re-named Europa Theater in 1932 and a Klangfilm sound system was installed. In 1940 it was operated by Luers & Hackstein. The Euro G. projectors were by AEG. The Europa Theater was closed around 1960 and has since been demolished.
