The Moonlite Drive-In was opened on September 23, 1950. In its October 7, 1950 issue, Boxoffice reported, “The new drive-in built here (in Tremonton) by Perl Wolcott, H. DeVerl Hurst and Ross Rock, partners from Salt Lake City, was to open this week. The 400-car drive-in has been equipped with Ballantyne equipment”.
The 1956 Motion Picture Almanac listed the Moonlite Drive-In with a capacity of 300 cars, owner H. D. Hurst.
The Moonlite Drive-In sat less than two miles west of town on the north side of what was then US 30S. A 1966 aerial photo showed the site still intact, but a 1971 photo showed it had been demolished as I-84 was being built just west of it.

Since the property itself was not touched by the construction of I-84, I wonder if the closing of the drive-in was related.
Seems to me that being next to the highway and its exit ramps would be a boon to the business. Of course, it would also make it quite attractive to other businesses who would pay a pretty penny for it.
Today, a truck stop, McDonald’s, and salvage yard sit on the property with no trace of the drive-in remaining.
