On November 17, 1956, Motion Picture Herald reported, “S. D. Leonard is building a 350-car drive-in at Martin, S. D., to open in the spring.”
On May 24, 1960, The Daily Republic of Mitchell SD wrote that Mr. and Mrs. William McNaught had purchased the Martin Drive-In property and equipment. “The McNaughts have been managing the business … since it was started in 1957 by Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Hansen”.
