Elphinstone Theatre

The Telegraph News of India reported the Elphinstone Theatre is the oldest theater in Patna. Theatre Magic, the design journal, notes it dates back to 1902 as the Elphinstone Bioscope and then the Elphinstone Cinema.

After it closed December 30, 2010, and renovated with new design by Mathur & Kapre Associates, the new Elphinstone reopened in June 2013.

Owned by Ajay K. Kataruka, the Elphinstone shares space and a website with Mona 70mm at The Premiere Square in Patna.
