The Ocotillo Theatre was opened in 1935. It closed as a movie theatre in 1959. In 1961 it became Clifton’s Cafeteria and in 1964 Townhouse Cafeteria. In 2001 it was purchased by the Arts Council and several years were spent restoring the building into a performing arts center.
