Novo Cinemas opened July 30, 2015, with 14 screens, 1,300 seats, and an IMAX auditorium seating 342.
Novo Cinemas history dates back to 2000 with the opening of Grand Cinemas in Dubai. In 2012 they Joined the Elan Group, part of Gulf Film Group, and in 2014 they were renamed Novo Cinemas.
In 2019 Novo Cinemas had eight locations in United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, and Oman.
