The Lyric Theatre was opened by 1950. As of 2019 the building that housed the Lyric Theatre remains standing and very faintly resembles ever having been a theatre in this small town with a population of around 1,000 souls. It is in use as the Cajun Cowboy private club operated by the adjacent steak house restaurant.
