Eden Theater

Located in the city centre district of St. Pauli in front of the famed Reeperbahn. The Eden Concert was a variety theatre which opened in 1886. It was later re-named Eden Theater and had 700 seats. In February 1900 short subject films were screened as part of the variety programme. It stopped screening films in the 1920’s, never being equipped for talkies. The seating capacity had been reduced to 220.

In 1926 the Eden Theater was converted into a pub named Gastwirtschaft Oberbayern. The building was destroyed by Allied bombs in World War II.
