The Parkway Drive-In was southwest of Mexia on County Road 470. In its first appearance in the 1952 Theatre Catalog, it was owned by Cliff Turner Jr. and B. L. Hagle, but by the 1955-56 Catalog, it was owned by Video Independent Theatres of Dallas.
In 1960, Wayne Walker was transferred by Video to manage the Parkway Drive-In. It was intact in a 1962 aerial photo and included in a 1978 topo map, but it was completely gone in a 1981 aerial.
