Opened in October 1908, it was closed in 1912, although the 1914 Sanborn shows an extremely crude theatre operating in a large one-story wooden structure. The floor was dirt, and the sides were canvas. The rear wall was metal-clad, presumably to protect the screen. There was a small ticket booth in the center, flanked by broad entries set back under the roof, with a few sheds projecting off the sides toward the street. This area was not on the 1907 map, so it’s unclear whether this then existed. By about 1915-20, it had been replaced by a huge garage/dealership.

The Princess Theatre opened in October 1908 and was first operated by Mr. Frank G. Cochran of Sedalia. It was later operated by W.C. Buskirk of Ute, Iowa, who closed the Princess Theatre in May 1912 following his departure to Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
